SDL ATLAS INTRODUCES ENHANCED MMT SENSOR WITH DIRECTIONAL MEASUREMENT OF LIQUID DISPERSION

Enhanced MMT Sensor with Directional Measurement of Liquid Dispersion

SDL Atlas is proud to announce new capabilities for the Moisture Management Tester (MMT). Our latest innovation allows for the directional measurement of liquid dispersion in fabrics, providing more precise data for our users.

Innovative Directional Sensor

We have introduced an option for the MMT to allow for deeper moisture management analysis. In addition to the Original MMT Sensor, which will still be available, customers can choose to purchase their MMT with a new Directional Sensor. This new Directional Sensor allows for comprehensive moisture movement analysis, catering to the needs of customers where greater understanding of liquid behavior in materials is crucial. With this set of sensors, the pattern of moisture movement can be observed in 8 directions while simultaneously performing AATCC 195.

The Directional Sensor has additional measuring pins to detect the liquid (moisture) allowing for detailed moisture dispersion patterns.

Advanced Calibration and Ease of Use

The new sensors are designed to store important information such as calibration data directly on the sensors, rather than on the computer. This enhancement simplifies the process of changing computers, ensuring measurement accuracy and eliminating possible operator error.

Compatibility and Upgrades

Although the new sensor brings additional directional measuring capability, it doesn’t affect any existing measurement that was already available in the original software.

Additionally, a new PCBA is included in both the new Original and Directional Sensors, allowing the instrument’s system parameters (calibration data) to be stored directly on the PCBA instead of the attached computer. This increases flexibility when customers change computers.

Customers will be able to upgrade their current MMT (as long as it is the current, metal case version) by purchasing a new PCBA board and the Directional Sensor.

Commitment to Customer Satisfaction

“At SDL Atlas, we are always listening to our customers and striving to meet their evolving needs,” said Chuck Lane, President of SDL Atlas. “Our new Directional MMT Sensor is a testament to our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.”

Flexible Sensor Options

Customers now have the option to choose the sensor that best meets their needs when purchasing an MMT, either the Original Sensor or the new Directional Sensor.
