Mechanical force gauges are spring-based instruments which feature a needle on a dial. They are entry-level push-pull gauges not requiring batteries so are intrinsically safe to use in hazardous environments. The Mecmesin range contains small gram gauges to measure very low forces, low-cost analogue gauges for occasional use and the larger simple range to measure up to 440N.
